体外:卡维地洛以8.1 μM的IC50有效抑制了大鼠脑匀浆中Fe2+引发的脂质过氧化。在大鼠脑匀浆中，卡维地洛以17.6 μM的IC50防止了Fe2+诱导的α-生育酚耗竭。卡维地洛剂量依赖性地降低了DMPO-OH信号的强度，IC50为25微米[1]。卡维地洛防止血管损伤后血管平滑肌细胞迁移、增殖和新内膜形成。在人类培养的肺动脉血管平滑肌细胞中，卡维地洛(0.1-10微米)浓度依赖性地抑制血小板衍生生长因子、表皮生长因子、凝血酶和血清刺激的有丝分裂，IC50值范围为0.3-2.0 μm。卡维地洛浓度依赖性地抑制血小板衍生生长因子诱导的血管平滑肌细胞迁移，IC50值为3微米[3]。
